I'll start this new exhibition by remembering you of my "anti-Inger-bird", a collage of water colours.
I've many reasons for this. One is that we are still both taking part in the same art lessons and we seldom miss a chance to tease each other. When my picture was done, Inger was buzy painting only birds. Now after that it was dogs!
Inger sticks to her subjects for a rather long time, but suddenly it's something quite new. Do take a look at her paintings by clicking at her name here!
Inger Boström

This was the oldest painting I found in my files. I keep it here for sentimental reasons. You could interpret it as you like!
But from now on I'll put newer paintings first and push older ones lower down.

A strange picture! I intended to remember my days in Iceland where I enjoyed the vulcanic mountains. I saw a distant forest, but the picture seemed very dull to me. My very good friend, Ulla Piper had found some kitchen roll with funny pictures on. So I got a few sq inches and glued them as a collage on the water colour. Now the picture is named "Skogsvandring" - I hope you understand Swedish.

And this one of the newest! It is my first icon.Unfortunately the photo is very bad, but maybe it gives you some idea of what it should look like.

Flower
Sometimes a few spontanous strokes with the brush makes you very happy!

Computer
This is more or less a joke! I tried to copy a watercolour picture with the computer. The original picture is somewhere below here.

Five Swans
Originally I intended the title to be "Seven swans!" But all of a sudden I ran short of space. So now they are five!

Harmony
As a tribute to our hostess I named this painting after her Studio. But I also think it fits the motive.

11 september
This date in history will probably be remembered as an equal to "the Crystal Night".

Peace in Our Time
Those were the words Mr Chamberlain gave to the British people when he September 1938 returned to London from Munich after his negotiations with the German leaders. I think his words are equally valid 63 years later.

Bad Wolf I
This is quite different. It is not only the Big Bad Wolf, but a dishonest one, illustrating an old Finnish fable.

Bad Wolf II
Here you can see him from another angle. Do not trust him!

Bad Wolf III
You shouldn't think he is sorrow! It's merely crocodile tears. The Wolf only hopes they will help him to get loose from a fox trap, where he was a legitimate captive.

It is simply called "the Oval"
Some examples of the illustrations of a new book.
And now another example!
Voi kauhistus,
voi kauhistus!
Nyt on kaikki vialla,
koko ruoka pilalla,
kun puuroon, jota mummo keitti
putos hämähäkinseitti!
(Anita Thomé©:finsk barnramsa)
Oj, oj, oj vilken förödelse
Usch, en sådan skräck!
Nu har allt gått fel
all maten förstörd!
Över gröten, som Mormor kokade
föll en äcklig spindelväv!

This bird is made not by me but by Maria Backström. It is a funny sculpture in a twisted textile-technique - I don't know the English word for it. My wonderful new teacher, who is Scottish, suggests "tangled wool". (Does anybody have another opinion? I mean amongst my vistors)

This is my first oil painting since I was a child

Did I paint this?

The man at the left cloned himself. Sorry!

I appreciate any comments on the paintings. Don't hesitate to be critical, when discussing my pictures!
